Limbgenixx makes and fits custom prosthetic limbs for patients travelling from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and the wider Tricity. Our prosthetic work covers prosthetic legs at both below-knee and above-knee levels, prosthetic feet including carbon fibre dynamic-response designs, prosthetic knee units, custom sockets, silicone and gel liners, stump socks, artificial hands and upper limb prostheses, and the components and suspension systems that hold a limb together.
Limbgenixx is based in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh — not in Chandigarh. A prosthesis is built to the shape of one person's residual limb, so casting, fitting and alignment happen at our centre. What we can do before you travel is discuss your case properly: send us photographs and any reports on WhatsApp, and we will tell you what your situation is likely to need, roughly how many visits, and whether the journey is worth making. That conversation is free and it is the right first step.
Chandigarh to Gwalior is a long-distance rail journey, usually routed through or changing at Delhi. Plan an overnight stay rather than a same-day return — the fitting stage is the one that decides whether a limb actually works for you, and it should not be rushed. Full detail is in planning your visit further down this page.

Custom below-knee prosthetics for Chandigarh road and accident amputees. Carbon fiber and polypropylene options with energy-storing feet for active tricity lifestyles.

Above-knee prosthetic legs for Chandigarh patients with transfemoral amputation. From basic mechanical knees to advanced Ottobock microprocessor systems.

Functional prosthetic hands and body-powered hooks for upper limb amputees from Chandigarh. Myoelectric options and Ottobock SensorHand available.

Chandigarh's active population benefits from sports prosthetics including running blades, cycling prosthetics, and activity-specific components. We assess your lifestyle and recommend accordingly.
Everything below is made or fitted at our Gwalior centre. Each item links to a fuller explanation if you want to read about it before you get in touch.
From SACH and single-axis feet through to multi-axial and carbon fibre dynamic-response feet that store and return energy at push-off. The right choice follows your activity level, body weight and the ground you walk on rather than price alone. More on the prosthetic foot page.
For above-knee amputees: single-axis, polycentric, manual-locking, pneumatic and hydraulic knees, and microprocessor-controlled units where they are clinically justified. The trade-off is always between stability when you take weight and freedom when the leg swings. See prosthetic knee.
The socket is the only part made individually for you, and it decides whether the limb is comfortable enough to wear all day. We cast or scan the limb, modify the model by hand, then trial-fit a clear check socket before anything permanent is built. Socket adjustment and replacement are ongoing services, not one-off events — see prosthetic socket.
Silicone liners are firmer and longer lasting; gel and urethane liners cushion bony, scarred or tender limbs more kindly. Liners are consumables and a worn one is a common hidden cause of rubbing or slipping. Sizing matters as much as material — see prosthetic liners.
Residual limb volume is not the same in the morning as it is at night. Stump socks in the right ply are how you manage that day to day, and learning to use them well is one of the more useful skills a new user picks up. If we already hold your measurements these can often be re-supplied without a full visit — see stump socks.
How the limb stays on: pin or shuttle lock, suction with a one-way valve, elevated vacuum, seal-in liners, suspension sleeves, or belt and strap systems. Suspension is chosen together with the socket and liner because the three behave as one system. See components & suspension.
Pylons, tube clamps, pyramid and rotation adapters, torque absorbers and connectors — the parts that set limb length, carry load and give the adjustment range used during alignment. Usually where looseness or a new noise shows up first. See prosthetic components.
Body-powered hooks and functional hands with harness and cable, cosmetic hands and gloves, and myoelectric systems where they are appropriate and affordable for the patient. Upper limb fitting is as much about what you need the hand to do at work as it is about appearance — see artificial hand and upper limb and cosmetic prosthetics.
We repair, service, realign and replace prosthetic limbs — including devices originally made elsewhere. If your current limb clicks, feels loose, slips as you walk or has started rubbing, send photographs before travelling and we will tell you whether the repair is feasible. See prosthetic repair and servicing.
Being handed a limb is not the same as being able to use it. Walking practice and gait work form part of the fitting visit, and we go through what to expect as you build up wear time at home. Background reading: how to walk with a prosthetic leg and daily care and maintenance.
Not sure which of these applies to you? That is normal, and it is what the first conversation is for. Costs vary widely with amputation level and components, so rather than quote a figure that may not apply, we give an indicative range once we know your situation — see what a prosthetic leg costs in India and the ADIP / ALIMCO scheme for background.
Limbgenixx does not have a clinic in Chandigarh, Mohali or Panchkula. Our centres are in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), Kharghar (Navi Mumbai) and Gharoh (Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh) — and for Tricity patients, Gwalior is the relevant one. This page exists because patients from the Tricity do travel to us, and they deserve a straight account of what that involves before they decide.
If travelling is not practical for you, that is a reasonable conclusion to reach. A prosthesis needs several in-person stages and at least one return visit, so a centre you can reach easily has a real advantage for follow-up. What we can offer is an honest discussion of your case before you commit to anything.
Chandigarh and Gwalior are both on the main north–south rail corridor, and most patients come by train, usually changing at or passing through Delhi. Gwalior Junction is well served, and our centre at Birla Nagar is a short local journey from the station. Road travel is possible via the Delhi–Agra corridor, and Gwalior also has a small airport with limited connections, so most people find rail the practical choice.
Please confirm current schedules yourself — train timings, routes and flight availability change, and we would rather you checked than relied on a webpage.
Plan an overnight stay rather than a same-day return. Casting, trial fitting and alignment are not quick, and rushing the fitting stage is the most common way to end up with a limb that is not right.
How many visits and how many days depends on your amputation level, the state of the limb and the device chosen. We will give you a realistic estimate for your own case — we would rather tell you it is four days than promise two and keep you longer.
The full breakdown of what can be handled remotely and what cannot is on our patients across India page.
Patients from Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula come to us for bracing as well as for artificial limbs — AFOs for foot drop, KAFOs and polio calipers, spinal braces, knee bracing and diabetic foot orthotics and footwear. Off-the-shelf supports are widely available in the Tricity; the reason to travel is custom work made to a cast of your own limb.

Most Tricity patients travel by train, usually routed through or changing at Delhi, and arrive at Gwalior Junction; our centre at Birla Nagar is a short local journey from there. Road travel via the Delhi–Agra corridor is also possible. Please check current timings and routes yourself before booking, as these change. A WhatsApp consultation before you travel lets us plan the visit so fewer trips are needed.
Limbgenixx fits components from Ottobock, Ossur and other established manufacturers, sourced through authorised supply channels in India. Which components suit you is a clinical decision made at assessment, not a brand preference. Limbgenixx is an independent prosthetics and orthotics centre and is not a dealership or distributor for any brand. We will give you an itemised quote for your own case before you commit to anything.
You may be eligible, but we cannot confirm it for you. The central ADIP scheme administered through ALIMCO provides subsidised assistive devices to people who meet its criteria, which normally include a disability certificate and an income ceiling. CGHS and ECHS beneficiaries may be able to claim in certain circumstances. Eligibility is decided by the scheme or issuing authority, not by Limbgenixx, and the criteria change from time to time. We can tell you what paperwork to bring and help you prepare an application — please confirm your own eligibility with the scheme before counting on it when planning travel.
Yes. We offer free WhatsApp video consultations. Share your amputation reports, stump condition photos, and requirements. We advise on prosthetic options and cost before you commit to traveling.
It depends on your amputation level, the state of the residual limb and the device being made, so we will not promise a fixed number. Many fittings are completed over two visits, and some patients prefer one longer continuous stay instead. Discussing your case with us beforehand lets us give you a realistic estimate for your own situation before you book travel.
No. Limbgenixx does not have a clinic, branch or office in Chandigarh, Mohali or Panchkula. Our centres are in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), Kharghar (Navi Mumbai) and Gharoh (Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh). For patients from the Tricity, Gwalior is the relevant centre. We would rather tell you that plainly than have you arrive somewhere expecting a local clinic.
Our main prosthetics and orthotics centre is at Shop No. 20, Ground Floor, Tansen Plaza, Hazira Chowk, Birla Nagar, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh 474003. Phone and WhatsApp: +91 90158 84467. Email: limbgenix@gmail.com.
Yes. A prosthesis is cast or scanned from your own residual limb, then trial-fitted and aligned while you stand and walk in it, so those stages have to happen in person at our centre. What can be done beforehand from Chandigarh is a proper discussion of your case: we can review photographs, prescriptions and reports, explain the likely options and give an indicative price range. That is planning and guidance, not a diagnosis, and nothing is confirmed until you are assessed.
Yes. Mohali, Panchkula and the surrounding Tricity area are all served the same way as Chandigarh, and the travel route to Gwalior is effectively the same. Call or message +91 90158 84467 and tell us what you need; there is no charge for the initial conversation.
Yes, both. Below-knee (transtibial) is the most commonly fitted level and above-knee (transfemoral) prostheses are built around a custom socket with a knee unit chosen for your stability and walking needs. We also fit Symes, through-knee, hip disarticulation and partial foot levels.
Yes. Prosthetic feet from basic SACH through to carbon fibre dynamic-response designs; knee units from single-axis and polycentric through to hydraulic and microprocessor-controlled; custom sockets cast or scanned from your own limb; and silicone, gel and urethane liners with the matching suspension. Stump socks and sheaths are supplied as consumables.
Yes. Body-powered hands and hooks operated through a harness and cable, cosmetic silicone hands and finger prostheses, and myoelectric systems where they suit the patient and the budget. Below-elbow and above-elbow arms are fitted with the terminal device chosen for what you need the hand to do.
Usually yes, and we regularly do. The limits are practical rather than policy: some proprietary systems need manufacturer-specific parts that may not be available, and microprocessor knees normally have to be serviced through the manufacturer's own channel. Send us clear photographs of the device and any visible labels before you travel from the Tricity, and we will tell you honestly whether the repair is feasible — and say so if it is not worth the trip.
