Home visits across Mumbai
Mumbai is a hard city to cross, and many of the people who need us most are the least able to travel — someone recently amputated, a child in a brace, an older patient after a stroke. We visit at home across Mumbai for assessment, measurement and fitting.
Home visits are a charged service, and we tell you the charge when you book rather than after the visit. Some stages still need the centre — what can and cannot be done at home sets out which.
What happens at your first appointment
- We listen firstWhat you are finding difficult, what you need to be able to do, and what you have already tried. This shapes everything that follows more than any measurement does.
- AssessmentWe examine the limb, joint or foot — shape, skin condition, movement, strength, and how you walk or use it now.
- Measurement or castingCustom devices are made to a cast or scan of your own anatomy, taken at this stage.
- Test fittingFor sockets and many braces there is a trial stage before the final device, so problems are found while they are still easy to fix.
- Fitting and adjustmentThe device is fitted, adjusted and checked while you use it. Expect more than one adjustment — that is normal, not a sign something went wrong.
- ReviewBodies change, children grow, and devices wear. Review is part of the service, not an upsell.

Getting to the Kharghar centre
The centre is in Sector-19 Kharghar, opposite Satyagraha School, in Maitri Icon. Kharghar railway station is on the Harbour Line, and the centre is a short auto ride from the station. If you are driving, the Sion-Panvel Highway and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway both feed into Kharghar.

Not to talk to us. Many people come directly after an amputation or with a brace prescription. If you already have a prescription or discharge summary, bring it — it tells us a lot. For some conditions we will ask you to see a clinician first, and we will say so plainly.
It is a series of appointments, not one. Assessment and casting, a test socket, fitting and adjustment, then review. The spacing depends on how your limb settles. We will give you a realistic schedule at the first appointment rather than a number now.
Message us about the specific device you need and we will tell you exactly where it is made and how long it will take. We would rather answer that honestly for your case than give a blanket answer here.
Any prescription or referral letter, discharge summary or operation notes if you have had surgery, your current device if you have one, the shoes you wear most, and a list of what you are finding difficult. Shorts or loose trousers help if the device is for your leg.
