Foot care products are made and fitted after an assessment at Shri Krishna Orthopedics in Indore, the Limbgenixx centre for Indore, Ujjain and Ratlam.
This page covers the diabetic foot and the everyday foot problems — flat feet, high arches, heel pain — that insoles are actually useful for.
Reduced sensation changes what footwear has to do. Instead of relying on you to feel a problem, the footwear has to stop one building in the first place. That is the whole design difference, and it is why an ordinary comfortable shoe is not the same thing.
Shoes and sandals made or chosen to accommodate the shape of the foot, with depth for an insole and no internal seams over pressure points. See diabetic footwear.
Moulded to spread load rather than let it concentrate. See diabetic foot orthotics.
Moving load away from a site that keeps breaking down. See offloading footwear.
If you have a wound, redness that does not settle, swelling, or a foot changing shape, see a clinician promptly. Footwear is protective. It is not a treatment for an active problem, and we will tell you when something needs a doctor rather than a new insole.
Not every foot needs a custom device, and we will say so when a ready-made one in the right size will do the job. Custom is worth the difference where there is a deformity or unusual foot shape, reduced sensation, a site that keeps breaking down, or where the device will be worn daily for years.
Arch supports where a flexible flat foot is causing symptoms. Many flat feet are painless and need nothing. See custom foot orthotics.
A rigid high arch concentrates load on heel and forefoot. Insoles here fill the arch and spread contact. See custom orthotic insoles.
Worst on the first steps of the morning. Insoles and heel cups alongside stretching. See plantar fasciitis orthotics.

At Shri Krishna Orthopedics, H-No 283, near Scheme No 51, Shubham Palace, Indore 452006, open every day 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Footwear and insoles are fitted after a foot assessment.
Ready-made is often enough where the problem is mild, the foot is of fairly typical shape and sensation is normal. Custom is worth it where there is a deformity, reduced sensation, a site that keeps breaking down, or daily use over years. We will tell you which applies.
Typically one to three years, depending on body weight, hours on your feet and the surfaces you walk on. They stop working before they look worn out, so a check every six months is worth it.
We are not going to promise that. Custom insoles are designed to help redistribute pressure away from high-risk areas and may form part of a foot-care plan after an assessment. They are not a treatment for an existing wound.
The shoes you wear most often, your current insoles if you have any, and any letter from a clinician. If you have diabetes, bring details of recent foot checks.
Yes, though many childrens flat feet are painless and need nothing at all. We will say so if that is the case rather than sell you a device.
