Making fewer trips
A custom device normally means more than one visit. What we can do is make sure none of them is wasted.
- Tell us you are coming from Ratlam. Say it at the first contact. It changes how we schedule you — we will group what can be grouped into fewer, longer appointments.
- Send photographs first. Of the limb, the brace, the foot, or the prescription. We can often tell you before you travel whether a visit is needed at all.
- Bring everything. Current device, prescription, discharge summary, the shoes you actually wear. A forgotten item is the most common reason a trip achieves less than it should.
- Ask what can be posted. Ready-made supports and some consumables can be arranged without a visit.
We will also tell you when something genuinely needs a separate trip. Compressing a fitting that needs proper time produces a device you will not wear.
What needs you to be there
Custom work needs casting and fitting in person: prostheses, custom AFOs and KAFOs, polio calipers, spinal braces and custom insoles. Off-the-shelf supports do not.
