Feet get asked about less than hands and restored more often than you would expect, because of how much time is spent without shoes here — at home, at the temple, at the door, at anyone else’s house. A missing toe that nobody at work would ever see is seen several times a day.
What we make are silicone restorations of the toe, the forefoot or the whole foot, with hair and toenails matched to the sound side. Besides appearance they do a practical job: they fill the shoe. An empty toe box lets a shoe collapse and lets the foot slide forward inside it, which is uncomfortable and wears the shoe out crooked.
These are cosmetic and space-filling restorations. They are not weight-bearing prosthetic feet. If you have a below-knee or above-knee amputation and need a foot to walk on, that is a different device entirely — see prosthetic feet and below-knee prosthesis.

A large share of the toe and forefoot losses we see in India follow diabetes. If that is your situation, there are a few things worth being straight about.
A silicone restoration sits alongside your foot care, not instead of it. It does not treat anything, it does not protect against ulceration, and it does not reduce the need for the footwear, offloading and daily checks your team has asked for. See diabetic footwear, offloading footwear and diabetic foot orthotics.
Where sensation is reduced, check the skin under and around the restoration every day. You may not feel a pressure point developing. If you find redness that does not settle within a few minutes of taking it off, stop wearing it and speak to the centre or your doctor.
The site must be completely healed before an impression can be taken. If you are not sure whether yours is ready, send a photograph on WhatsApp and we will tell you.
Four pieces. All are cosmetic and space-filling restorations — none of them is a weight-bearing prosthetic foot.

A pair of silicone feet, photographed beside the wearer’s own feet so the size and tone can be compared. The toes are formed individually, with nail beds and the natural step-down in length across the forefoot.
Feet are seen less often than hands, but they are seen — at home, at the temple, at the door, and anywhere shoes come off. In India that is most places, which is why a foot restoration is asked for more here than the literature from elsewhere would suggest.
| Material | Medical-grade silicone |
|---|---|
| Made to | One person only — taken from an impression and matched to the sound side |
| Colour matching | Done in person at the centre, against the wearer’s own skin |
| Retention | Depends on the case — confirm with the centre |
| What it does | Restores the shape and appearance of the foot and helps a shoe or sandal fit and stay on. It is a cosmetic restoration, not a weight-bearing prosthetic foot — if you need a foot to walk on, that is a different device. |
| Care | Mild soap and water, dried before wearing. Keep away from ballpoint ink, newsprint and strong dyes, which stain silicone permanently. |
| Fitted at | Gwalior, Navi Mumbai, Indore and Dharamshala |

The same restoration with hair implanted across the top of the foot and over the toes. On men this is usually what decides whether a foot restoration passes.
The toenails here are shaped and set rather than painted flat, and they step down in size across the forefoot the way the wearer’s own do.

A forefoot restoration, rebuilding the big toe and the front of the foot. The cuff wraps the midfoot and holds it on.
Partial foot losses are common after diabetes-related surgery and after crush injuries. Beyond appearance, the shape matters for how a shoe sits: an empty forefoot lets the shoe collapse and the foot slide forward inside it.

A big toe restoration, photographed between the affected foot and the sound one so the size and the tone can be judged against both.
A single toe sounds like a small thing. It is the one people most often say they had stopped expecting anything could be done about, and the one that most often changes whether somebody is comfortable taking their shoes off in company.

A silicone prosthesis is matched to one person’s own skin, so the colour work has to be done with that person in the room. Limbgenixx has four centres in India, and foot & toe restorations can be started at any of them.

Yes. A silicone toe restoration rebuilds the shape and appearance of the toe and fills the toe box of the shoe. It is taken from an impression once the site has fully healed, and matched to the toes on your other foot for size, tone and nail shape.
Not in the way you can walk on a prosthetic foot. These are cosmetic and space-filling restorations — they restore the shape of the foot and help footwear fit properly. A weight-bearing prosthetic foot for a below-knee or above-knee amputation is a different device: see prosthetic feet.
Usually yes, once the site is completely healed. But it is a restoration of appearance and shoe fit, not a treatment. It does not protect against ulceration and it does not replace the footwear, offloading or daily checks your team has asked for. Where sensation is reduced, check the skin underneath every day.
That is a large part of the point of it, and sandals are the reason most people ask. Bring the footwear you actually intend to wear to the fitting, including open sandals — the shape of the restoration is adjusted around them.
Yes, where you want them. Toenails are shaped and set into the silicone at the angle your own sit, and they step down in size across the forefoot. Hair is implanted across the top of the foot and the toes where that matches your other side — on men it is usually what decides whether the restoration passes.
It depends on whether it is one toe, a forefoot or a whole foot, and on how much colour and hair work the match needs. We quote after an assessment rather than from a price list. Send photographs on WhatsApp and we will tell you what is involved.
Once the site is fully healed and has stopped changing shape. An impression taken too early produces something that will not fit in a few months. Send a photograph if you are not sure whether yours is ready.
